HOTTEST MOM IN AMERICA™
SUPPLEMENTAL RULES FOR
ONLINE AUDITION WILDCARD ROUND
The initial audition portion of the Online Audition Wildcard Round of the
Hottest Mom in America™ Contest will be subject to the following Internet-specific
Rules and Requirements (“Internet Rules”). These Internet Rules are in addition
to, and not in lieu of, the applicable pre-established Hottest Mom in America™ Rules
and Requirements (“Rules”). The Rules can be found immediately following these
Internet Rules.
The purpose of these Internet Rules is to address the fact that the initial auditions will
not be in-person, but rather, will be conducted by contestants submitting videos, as
further discussed below. Thus, the provisions of the Rules which address the initial in
person auditions are not applicable, and instead, these Internet Rules apply to the
initial audition via video submission. If you are invited to participate in person beyond
the initial video auditions, however, the Rules will apply to any such in person
participation by you.
Please read both the Rules and the Internet Rules carefully. Your participation in the
contest, and your acceptance of these Internet Rules, constitutes your acceptance of the
Rules and the Internet Rules.
INTERNET RULES
ELIGIBILITY
The eligibility requirements for the Hottest Mom in America Contest™ are set
forth in the Rules. One of the requirements is that you sign a Personal Release found at: http://www.hottestmominamerica.com/images/forms/hottestmominamericarelease.pdf
Since the initial audition will not be in person, instead of signing the
Personal Release, you must accept the terms and conditions of the Personal Release by
checking the box below reading “I have read and agree to the Rules, Internet Rules
and Personal Release.” If you are invited to participate in in-person auditions, you
may be asked to sign physical copies of the Personal Release.
THE ONLINE WILDCARD AUDITION PROCESS
No Guarantee of Audition
There is no guarantee that your submitted video will be viewed, of if viewed,
that you will be invited to an in person audition.
No Guarantee of Being Included in the Program
You acknowledge that the contest will be filmed to create a program (the
“Program”) which may be distributed via television, Internet, cable, satellite,
or any other such means. You acknowledge that the producers reserve the right, exercisable
at any time in their sole discretion, to determine whether or not to include you and your
submitted video in the Program, and there is no guarantee that you will be included in the
Program.
What to Wear In Your Video Audition
Please do not wear any clothing items that reveal any tattoos, that have designer
names, sports teams, or any other logos or brand names, or bearing the name or likeness of
a celebrity, living or dead.
What to Do In Your Video Audition
In your video audition, tell the producers and judges why you are the Hottest Mom
in America. You should take into consideration the criteria identified in the Selection
Criteria section of the Rules and think about what you want to say in this video to
convince the producers and judges why you should be selected to continue in the
competition. At a later point in time, you may also be interviewed by the contest staff.
If you have a talent, you may show off some of it in your video audition. If you are
called back, you may be asked to perform a little bit more.
Rules of Submission
Your video may not be more than two minutes in length.
Your video may not state your name in the video for reasons of privacy.
Your video may not include musical works or soundtracks unless you have
express written consent from the owner(s) of said works or soundtracks (which may need to
be produced by you upon request).
Your video should be well lit and clearly audible.
You should be the only recognizable person in the video, no other people
should recognizably appear in the video.
Nudity, sexual, or offensive acts in the video may result in
disqualification.
Your video must be submitted in one of the following formats: MPEG, MPG,
MP4, WMV, ASF, AVI (including DIVX),3gp, and 3g2. We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid)
format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio, at 30 frames per second.
Chances and Odds
Since this is a contest which is based on your performance and the selection
criteria, and not a game of chance, it is not possible to assess your odds. Additionally,
we have no way of knowing how many persons will participate in this round or in the
contest overall.
Disqualifications
Except where otherwise prohibited by law, we reserve the right to disqualify and/or
exclude, in our sole and absolute discretion, any individual from the audition process or
at any point during the contest, for any reason or for no reason at all, including without
limitation, violation of any portion of the Rules and the Internet Rules, or tampering
with the entry process or the audition process or any potential voting process. Being
chosen to audition and/or compete at any level in the process does NOT ensure that you
will be selected to continue to the next stage.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Your submission of your video audition constitutes your consent and agreement to the
recording and use of your performance, appearance, name, voice, likeness and any musical
or sound effects produced by you and/or them for use in connection with any television
program, motion picture or the Internet for all purposes (including advertising,
marketing, promotion, republishing to different websites, merchandising and the
exploitation of any and all ancillary and subsidiary rights), as the same may be edited,
in all media now known or hereafter created, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no
compensation, unless otherwise required by law. If you do not wish to be seen, or do not
agree with these terms, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT ANY VIDEO OF YOURSELF. The submission of your
video audition by yourself will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all
claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, etc. All federal, state and local laws apply.
This contest is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If your video audition
contains either, even if you are the only participant in the video, do not submit it on www.hottestmominamerica.com or www.hottestmomonline.com Also, be advised
that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.
Do not post or submit videos showing dangerous or illegal acts, like animal abuse or bomb
making. Displays of violence are not allowed. If your video shows someone getting hurt,
attacked, or humiliated, do not post or submit it.
Upload only videos that you made or that you have obtained the rights to
use. This means do not upload videos you did not make or use content in your videos that
someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted
programs, or videos made by other users, without their permission.
We encourage free speech and defend every person’s right to express unpopular points
of view. But we do not permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of
stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular group based on gender, sexual
orientation, race, religion, and/or nationality.
This competition is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall only be
construed and evaluated according to United States law. Only United States residents are
eligible to participate.
The Hottest Mom in America™ Contest, including its Producers and
Sponsors, are not responsible for submissions or entries that are incomplete, delayed,
illegible, garbled, misdirected, misrouted as a result of interrupted or unavailable
network connections or Internet transmissions for any reason or for any computer, phone or
phone line hardware or software malfunction, failure or error of any kind, whether
electronic, human or mechanical.
The Hottest Mom in America™ Contest, including its Producers and
Sponsors, are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of
any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed
computer transmission, whether caused by Sponsor, users or by any of the equipment or
programming associated with or utilized in the competition or by any technical or human
error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user’s
system or limit a participant’s ability to participate in the competition.
HOTTEST MOM IN AMERICA™
RULES & REQUIREMENTS
IMPORTANT: Please note that the audition process can take several hours
and children under the age of 12 are best kept at home or with friends. No facilities are
available for children.
The Hottest Mom in America™ contest will be subject to these Rules and Requirements
(these “Rules”). Please read these Rules carefully. Your participation in the
contest constitutes your acceptance of these Rules.
Also note, certain provisions of these Rules also apply to persons who attend the
competition. You attendance of the competition constitutes your acceptance of these Rules.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be able to prove at the time of your audition, if any, that:
· You are a legal U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident who is
eligible to work full-time in the United States;
· You are 18 to 60 years old on September 16, 2006. If you were born
before or after this window, you are not eligible to participate;
· You are a woman and are a mother, either by birth, adoption or by
permanent legal guardianship; and
· You must accept the terms and conditions of the Personal Release by
signing the Personal Release.
No fee is required to enter this contest.
You are ineligible if you, or any member of your immediate family and/or
anyone living in your household, is an employee, officer, director, agent and/or
representative of 9 TV Productions, LLC, Buzznation, LLC, Medicis Pharmaceutical
Corporation, production personnel for the television program, an employee of participating
television stations, advertising agencies, corporate sponsors or any person or entity
connected with the production, administration or judging of the auditions, or any of the
parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives of any of the
foregoing entities.
THE CONTEST
The Hottest Mom in America™ is looking for a woman who is in tune with her
family, involved in her community and in touch with her femininity. See the Selection
Criteria section below for more detail.
THE PRIZE
The winner of the contest will be crowned the “Hottest Mom in
America™”, will receive a College Scholarship totaling $25,000 for a related
child, a cash prize of $25,000, 1 year of free treatment with Restylane®, and an
interview with a top modeling agency.
THE FACE OF RESTYLANE
The Sponsor (Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation) is in the process of identifying
a person to become a “Face of Restylane”. This individual must represent what
the company believes is its target demographic. She must photograph well, be willing to be
a spokesperson for Restylane® and also be a user of the product.
Medicis is conducting this search independent of this contest, but may consider
contestants as candidates. By participating in this contest, you agree to allow Medicis
and its representatives to consider you, review your audition, and potentially interview
you concerning this search. You agree also by your participation in this contest that the
final decision of who will become the “Face of Restylane” will be determined by
Medicis in its sole discretion, and Medicis will be free to select any person, including
persons who are not participants of the contest, as the Face of Restylane®. In addition,
Medicis will be free to select such person prior to the completion of the contest, whether
such person is a contestant or not.
PLEASE NOTE, ALTHOUGH FINALISTS MAY BE OFFERED A FREE TREATMENT WITH
Restylane®, Restylane® USE IS NOT A CONDITION TO WINNING THE HOTTEST MOM IN AMERICA
PRIZE. YOUR USE OF Restylane® IS ONLY RELEVANT WITH RESPECT TO YOUR ELIGIBILITY TO BECOME
THE “Face of Restylane”.
THE AUDITION PROCESS
When to Line Up
All information concerning the auditions is tentative at this time. Audition cities, dates
and/or times may change. You should check our website at www.hottestmominamerica.com the
day of the audition to confirm that it has not changed. You should also plan on arriving
as early as allowed at your audition venue. Continue to check www.hottestmominamerica.com
for further details. There will be no overnight camping inside or outside any of the
venues.
Locations, Dates and Time
It is anticipated that auditions will start no earlier than 8:00 a.m. in each city. In
addition, many venues will prevent people from lining up before 6:00 a.m., so you must
continue to check our website at www.hottestmominamerica.com for the most up-to-date
audition schedule and information.
No Guarantee of Being Auditioned
There is no guarantee that you will be seen for an audition. Even if you are
there at the opening of the auditions, or earlier, you are not guaranteed an audition.
Furthermore, the producers reserve the right to select any individuals in line for
auditions. This means persons who arrive after you may get an audition even though you do
not.
No Guarantee of Being Included in the Program
You acknowledge that the contest will be filmed to create a program (the
“Program”) which may be distributed via television, Internet, cable, satellite,
or any other such means. You acknowledge that the producers reserve the right, exercisable
at any time in their sole discretion, to determine whether or not to include you in the
Program, and there is no guarantee that you will be included in the Program.
What to Bring to the Auditions
· Identification: You must bring two forms of identification that show
proof of your age and a photograph.
· Release: Release forms will be available at the audition venue or may
be downloaded from our website and completed ahead of time.
What to Wear to the Auditions
Please do not wear any clothing items that reveal any tattoos, that have designer
names, sports teams, or any other logos or brand names, or bearing the name or likeness of
a celebrity, living or dead. If you do wear such clothing, you may be required to remove
it or turn it inside out or put on additional clothing to cover it.
What to Do at the Auditions
At the audition, you may be asked to make a brief video to tell the producers and judges
why you are the Hottest Mom in America. You should take into consideration the criteria
identified in the Selection Criteria section below and think about what you want to say in
this video to convince the producers and judges why you should be selected to continue in
the competition. Throughout the audition day, you may also be interviewed by the contest
staff. If you have a talent, be prepared to show off some of it. If you are called back,
you may be asked to perform a little bit more.
Rules In Line
Due to space limitations, ONLY TWO FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS in addition to the
person being auditioned will be admitted into the venue in each city where auditions are
taking place. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO OTHER PEOPLE IN LINE. DO NOT CUT IN LINE. IF WE
DISCOVER THAT YOU HAVE CUT IN FRONT OF ANOTHER PERSON IN LINE, YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED
FROM THE AUDITION PROCESS. Also, you may not hold a place in line for another person for
an extended period of time.
Background Checks
You may be subject to a thorough background investigation, including criminal
background check and other examinations, at the producer’s discretion.
Disqualifications
Except where otherwise prohibited by law, we reserve the right to disqualify
and/or exclude, in our sole and absolute discretion, any individual from any of the
auditions for any reason or for no reason at all, at any point during the contest,
including without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules, or tampering with
the entry process or the audition process. Being chosen to audition and/or compete at any
level in the process does NOT ensure that you will be selected to continue to the next
stage.
Judges
We will appoint the judges who will be evaluating and judging all contestants in
accordance with the contest Rules and Selection Criteria. You may not contact or otherwise
interact with the judges in any manner whatsoever.
Selection Criteria
Although looks will be part of the criteria by which contestants will be
evaluated, they will not be the sole criteria. Factors such as femininity, personality,
relationship with family members, talent and involvement in the community will also be
taken into consideration, as well as any other criteria identified by the producers to the
extent not inconsistent with these Rules. The selection criteria may be weighted
differently, and such weighting may differ at different stages of the contest.
Furthermore, contestants who are selected to continue in the competition will be required
to be available for additional competition-related events after the Saturday audition day.
Contestants who can not be available after the Saturday audition day may be eliminated
from the competition.
Fees and Expenses, Taxes
There is no fee to enter. If you are invited to a subsequent round of competition
that is outside of your city of residence, the producers will arrange for your travel,
hotel and meals, at the producer’s cost. All expenses you incur on your own (e.g.,
additional meals, beverages, entertainment, etc.) will be at your own cost. If you are the
winner of the prize, you are solely responsible for any taxes which may be payable in
connection with your receipt of the prize.

This Section applies to contestants as well as any other persons attending the
competition, including friends and family members of a contestant, anyone else
accompanying a contestant and any other person. Your presence at the competition

NOT ENTER THE VENUE WHERE THE AUDITIONS AND COMPETITION ARE TAKING PLACE. Your attendance
at the audition event will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims for
invasion of privacy, defamation, etc. All federal, state and local laws apply.

for the television program, participating television stations, advertising agencies or any
person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of the auditions
or the program, or any of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries,
successors and assigns, and the respective officers, directors, employees, agents,
contractors, partners, shareholders, attorneys, representatives and members of each of the
foregoing entities are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) any failure of
transportation, bad directions, or the inability, for any reason, of any person to appear
at an audition site or to audition or appear before the judging panels; (ii) any injuries,
losses or damages of any kind caused by traveling to or from the audition venues, being
present at the audition venues, participating in the auditioning process or being selected
to or disqualified from continuing in the auditioning process and/or the show; (iii) any
printing, typographical or technological errors in any materials associated with the
auditioning process; or (iv) any condition caused by events beyond their control that may
cause the contest to be disrupted, corrupted or terminated. NO WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, OR
NON-PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES WILL BE PERMITTED AT ANY AUDITION OR DURING THE
COMPETITION.
All issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of
these rules, or the rights and obligations of the participants, shall be determined by the
producers in their sole discretion and governed by Arizona law. Contestants submit to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the State and Federal courts located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The
producers do not make any representation, warranty or guarantee, express or implied,
relating to the contest. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless sponsor, the
producers, and its and their affiliates, employees, officers, directors, and agents from
any claim, liability, injury, damage or other loss arising out of or related to your
participation in the contest, including without limitation any material submitted by you,
any failure on your part to fully comply with these rules, and any acceptance and use of
any prize.
If you submit any material in connection with the contest, you represent and warrant to
producer that (i) the material is wholly original and does not infringe upon or otherwise
violate any right of any third party, (ii) you have all rights necessary to submit the
material in the contest in accordance with these rules, and (iii) no party other than you
has any right, title or interest in and to the material or any part of the material. All
tangible material submitted will become the property of producer and will not be returned.
By entering the contest, you grant to producer a perpetual, fully-paid, irrevocable,
non-exclusive license to reproduce, prepare derivate works of, distribute, display,
exhibit, transmit, broadcast, televise, digitize, otherwise use, and permit others to use
and perform throughout the world the material in any manner, form, or format now or
hereinafter created, including on the Internet, and for any purpose, including, but not
limited to, advertising or promotion of producer and its services, all without further
consent from or payment to you. You agree that producer has no obligation to post or use
your material anywhere. Use of your material, if any, will be in the producer’s sole
discretion. You understand that your name and other materials may be posted on
www.hottestmominamerica.com in connection with voting.
